LJ Hooker Competition!

Hello everyone!

I hope that you are all doing well!
I just want to let you know that I have entered a competition to draw my house and win $2000 and a small marquee for my school. To win, I need to get as many votes as I possibly can, and to do that, I need your help! You can help me by clicking on this link below and voting for me as many times as you want to!
Thanks!
Kim

A Chinese Experience

Thought I'd share some of our experiences in China. Plenty of walking, looking at temples, walking, eating, looking at city walls, and more walking. Visited a few markets but never enough time to take them all in.

The group in the foyer of Amity Press after seeing through the factory where the Bibles are printed. A very big and impressive place. Our lunch at Amity Press on the right with a bowl of rice.

Subway lunch at the Great Wall. Took a chair lift up and down to the Wall and some tobogganed back down again. Fantastic views but uneven walking up and down along the Wall. kept us puffing.

Met some interesting characters along the way.

Enjoyed (mostly) a variety of chinese food. This meal (left) we cooked our egg, meat, veggies & noodles in our own hot pots at the table with a dish of sauce to flavour. The other was a typical layout with the table usually having more dishes added later and the usual pot of green tea.
The highlight of the tour was visiting the 2 country churches and giving out the Bibles for them to distribute to needy people. They were so appreciative and it was quite a moving time for us all. This is the group singing a welcome as the bus pulled up and walked into the church and then again as we left.

Meeting the Peking Duck - the dinner & show was good.

Hairdresser?

A couple of weeks ago I was feeding Lolly when I suddenly felt something on my head...'what are you doing Ever?'....'straightening your hair Mummy'!!  Got to love the mimicking accuracy as she decided to use her play food tongs to do it!  Also got to love how much she's concentrating - this is very serious business!

Here are a couple of average photos of Mitchells induction as academic captain. Can't get over how much he looks like Dougs brother Brett.

Christmas - URGENT!

Hello there family!!

This year we have decided to de-stress Nanna! So I'm wondering if we could all put in a few dollars to sent her on a trip to Tahiti?.....
Ok, no, maybe that's not a great idea!

Instead, how about we all do some cooking for Christmas day?

We thought it might be fun and if everyone contributed a dish to Christmas...and when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE!! Boys included! So to be clear, a little something from Merryl, a little something from Doug, a little something from Mitchell, a little something from Kimberley etc etc!!
It doesn't have to be anything really flash.  Nanna is going to take care of the ham and we are going to fill in the rest of the gaps...salads, desserts, nibblies etc.  Please give Nanna a ring and let her know what you're bringing so we don't end up with 17 potato salads!

Dad is already planning his dish...ok I can't lie.  I should really say Mum has already planned what Dad is going to put together the night before!

Have a bit of fun with it....maybe we should have a competition to see  who can bring the most creative dish? Then again, maybe that's dangerous!

And don't forget your old photos...were you organising that Aunty Nellie? Is the idea we bring them on disc or email them to you beforehand??

Anna xoxo
PS - This is what I'm going to bring...
