Our day in BrisVegas

Just so you guys remember what we look like...!

This was a couple of months ago when we spent the day out and about in the great river city of Brisbane! We went to the powerhouse ( if you havn't been there my northern cousins you should visit when you're down next) and saw a photography exhibition. There always seems to be a photography exhibition on there so we go there a fair bit throughout the year. Then we hopped on a citycat where this stunning(!) photo was taken(you can see a bit of the storey bridge in the background), and headed to southbank and into the lifeline bookfest. Now there's a different world! You can tell who the serious shoppers are by the purpose built little trolleys they bring just for the occasion! Yes, there's a fair bit of grey hair, and a fair few 40 somethings who you can tell have only socialised with their cat for the last fornight mumbling to themselves as they scrounge through the books...BUT it's kinda fun to check out all the 80's titles and just see if you can find a modern bargain. It was a pretty awesome day that Pete topped off by taking me on a surprise trip to the Confectionary Warehouse...as if I needed that! We trolled the place for some NZ delights that Pete remembers from his childhood that're chocolate-covered marshmallow fish...yum!! It was a fantastic day!

So it took me a really long time but here we are! It's a blog just for us cousins! Basically our life is quite boring at the moment so we are now relying on you guys to entertain us with your tales of adventure and fun in the sun! Proceed!.....
